We source single varieties of wheat and blend them as a winemaker blends wines to create unique and distinct sourdough loaves that are 100% whole-wheat and made from just three ingredients: natural yeast, water, and our unique flour blends. And the loaves are vegan to boot!

Instead of using commercial yeast, we use our natural starters to make everything from pita to croissants to pizza dough, and who knows, maybe even brioche. Got something in mind? We’ll gladly add it to our repertoire. But we have to say, the pita are the most fun to make.

Organic Whole Wheat Sourdough

We believe that bread, like wine, can embody “terroir,” a sense of both time and place that is driven by the land, climate, and farming practices. That is why we source single varieties of wheat that can be traced to both a particular “vintage” and farm. We then apply a supremely light touch to allow the wheat’s flavors to shine. The result is a sourdough loaf like none that you have ever tasted before no matter which variety of our loaves that you try.

Our gluten-free sourdough gives you the best of both worlds: delicious, chewy sourdough without gluten. And it is vegan as well! Made from sorghum, millet, and brown rice flours, our gluten-free sourdough is a light and moist loaf with plenty of tangy notes that will leave you wondering if it is really gluten free.

Ready to buy?

Our breads and baked goods can all be purchased on our online store with free delivery to portions of Marin and the East Bay. We deliver to Marin on Wednesday mornings and the East Bay on Friday mornings. Just place your order by 5 pm on Monday for Marin and 5 pm Wednesday for the East Bay to ensure your order gets on our baking schedule — our breads take 36 hours to make!

We will also start in December to offer weekly, bi monthly, and monthly subscriptions so that you’ll be able to get our breads without any fuss or muss.

Not in our delivery area? No problem! We have successfully shipped bread as far away as Los Angeles so as long as you are in California, we can probably get our bread in your hands for a reasonable delivery fee by the next day after it is baked.
